Mahan Lake is about a 1 mile hike off of the trail. It is marked with a sign.

Description

It is a steady uphill climb from the Gore Range Trail to the trailhead leading to Mahan Lake. At the Mahan Lake Trailhead, you'll need to hike down the road to get to Elliot Ridge Trail #1889. The trail is mostly easy hiking and a lot of it is on a two track road.
