This nice Val Badia route starts in Capanna Alpina and takes you to Malga Fanes, where you can eat and drink to your stomach's content. The first part and the last part are very easy and flat. The central part is a bit steeper and there is a stretch made of steps.
At the start, when you're deep in the woods, there are also benches and chairs for those who want to have a picnic.
Start in Capanna Alpina, where you'll find toll parking. The whole route is on a gravel path that's well marked. The first part of the trail is flat, through a forest and takes you along a stream. In addition, there are benches and tables for those who want to have a picnic.
Next, there is a more demanding section that involves a long climb. On this section, the path switchbacks and then becomes almost a "staircase" with many steps.
The steep part, however, is not very long and can be completed with relative ease, especially if you stops to admire the surrounding Alps. After the climb the path becomes almost flat and it crosses the pastures of the "Malga Fanes" where you can see cows, horses, and donkeys.
The route ends at the hut where it is possible to eat and rest before returning.
