Description

From the main trail, begin the ascent. There was a snowfield below at the time of my trip in late July. Hike the scree mix along the edge of trees until you come to the more defined trail marking the border of Rocky Mountain National Park. Stay out of the park if you have a dog and want to stay out of trouble. The park markers act as cairns to help you stay on trail and lead directly to the summit. The summit holds a cool rock semicircle wind shelter. There are absolutely gorgeous 360-degree views from the top.
