Description
This track follows the southern shore of the Pororari River into the heart of Paparoa National Park. After passing through the wooden gate, you enter the spectacular limestone gorge that the river has carved over millions of years. The subtropical rain forest along the river provides plenty of shade but also offers great views of the river and the gorge itself. The incline is negligible until about 1.5 miles to pass a slightly narrower section of the gorge. Several spots in the vicinity allow you to access the river and marvel at its beauty. The track meets Inland Pack Track after 2.2 miles.
