Description

This trail starts at the bluffs overlooking the Econfina Creek (this is a good place to camp for the night). Follows the Econfina Creek all the way to the Scott Road Trailhead near Fountain, FL. It includes two suspension bridges (pedestrian only), a waterfall, several underwater springs, and a side spur to the Trap Pond designated campsite. It is mostly level ground so easy hiking. There are a lot of shaded areas, so it is not too bad on hot days. The trail is well marked with Florida Trail Association orange blazes.

Flora & Fauna

Mountain laurels, oleander, magnolia, pine, wildflowers. Especially beautiful in the spring (March/April). You may see a snake or two.
