Description

Coal Miner is a feeder trail for the challenging trails in this system. It’s a fun trail that makes a great warm hike.

From the parking lot, follow the gravel road west, and you'll immediately see the trail sign. After about 0.75 miles, you'll come to an intersection. The signage for the connecting trails can be somewhat confusing the first time, but if you keep bearing right, you'll stay on Coal Miner.

After you climb a small rocky incline, you’ll intersect a gravel fire road. Hang a left and follow it down the hill to the dead-end, then follow the trail sign right.
