Bathrooms are available at Smith House entrance in the back of the "house"—door on the left. Otherwise, there are additionally porta potties available.

There are four river crossings, some fields, and mostly singletrack trail. There are some nice elevation, but nothing too strenuous. When in doubt, stay left. There is a part of the trail where you'll cross a river, turn left and cross the river again... this is the correct path. There is a section of the trail that goes out to a suburban road—turn right, and you'll see trail markers on the fencing. After this it is only a small jaunt down, and you'll re-enter the trails at "the bamboo."
