DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multi-use, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for horses and cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze/thaw during the winter.

Description

Poplar Trail starts off of White Pine Loop near the intersection with Hickory Mountain Road. The trail descends gradually until it ends at the intersection with Rifle. This trail can be linked with others in the near vicinity to create a short beginner-friendly loop that does not involve a lot of climbing.
