Description

This trail starts out gradual then gets pretty steep. It isn't overly technical compared to other parts of Pisgah but it is a steep climb and will require some heavy breathing. The trail reaches the Pilot Cove Trail at about 1.4 miles in, which makes for a nice descent if you don't want to continue on. Otherwise, the trail descends to Yellow Gap Road.
