“This is a short trail through thick forests to Flag Pond.
”
This trail begins and ends on the Lake Somerville Trailway and is best utilized for creating loops within the park or accessing the primitive campsites along Flag Pond (note: these campsites have been closed since Hurricane Harvey, so check the park website for updates).
Nearly the whole trail is in a thick forest and is one of the few trails in the park that offers a lot of shade. A creek runs across the middle of the trail. A small spur connects the trail to Flag Pond Loop Trail near some restrooms. The trail passes through the primitive campsites and rejoins the Lake Somerville Trailway.
