A playground, bathroom, and drinking fountain are available at the boathouse on the south side of Waneka Lake at the start/finish of this loop.

Description

The path around Waneka Lake is a crushed gravel surface and holds up well in most weather conditions. The views of the mountains across Waneka Lake are beautiful. From this route, it is easy to add on distance by heading towards Hecla Lake Loop and for even longer routes you can head towards Coal Creek Trail.
