Description
This is the old campground for South Whidbey State Park. It was closed to camping several years ago, due to the danger of the old growth trees. Don't worry, you are in very little danger.
Starting in the main parking lot. You'll see a white gate on your far right. Go to, and past it. You'll come upon four Y intersections. Follow these instructions: Right, right, right, left. After a while the trail will come to a T-intersection with the
Old Campground Loop Connector. Stay right. You'll come across the second Y junction again, stay right. After a few yards you'll come upon the very first Y-junction, this time take a right. Follow the path until you get back to the parking lot.
This is an awesome trail, as it will take you through ancient forests.
Flora & Fauna
Cedars, firs, pines, ivy, ferns, deer, and more.
