While it's relatively straight for Banner standards, Dr. John will certainly not disappoint.

Description

Whether you're heading out from the parking lot for an after-work hike or coming back to your car after a weekend excursion, Dr. John is always something to look forward to.

Starting at the main parking area, Dr. John is a faint trail off to the left of the trail kiosk, near the south end of the parking lot. Once on the trail, it begins with a nice warm-up section comprised of smooth dirt. After passing junctions with a small connector and K2, Dr. John enters tight, twisty turns through a dense evergreen forest rife with salal and other shrubby undergrowth. Eventually, the trail ends in a junction with Banner Alley.
