“A huge view of the Lemhi Mountains earned by steep climbing and left with a nice descent.”— David Lingle
From the water trough begins a "meadow surf" and the vegetation is thick and lush making the trail difficult to follow. So hike downhill through the grass and stay to the right-hand side of the crest of the meadow. Watch for large rocks through the tall grass. Toward the bottom of the meadow a good trail returns, crosses the shallow creek, and enters the woods.
From here the trail is is generally easy to follow as it descends through the trees, across sidehills, and crosses the creek a couple of times. Twelvemile Meadow Trail meets the Lime Creek Trail immediately after crossing Warm Springs Creek.
