Description

This hike at Bigleaf Slopes park is a short trail at around 2.2 miles in length. You can start by going in either direction, but hikers are instructed by signage to start to the left. There are some hills in the beginning mile, but after that, the trail is very smooth and winding. It borders private property and the Twin Oaks Golf Course.

The trail can be somewhat overgrown in summer. There is a changing shed and picnic area at beginning.

Flora & Fauna

Bigleaf Magnolia is a deciduous magnolia native to the southeastern United States and eastern Mexico. This species boasts the largest simple leaf and single flower of any native plant in North America.
