Description

This is an old logging road with a wide, gravel surface. It is open to cars and motorcycles, so just be aware of your surroundings as you hike.

When hiking south to north, the road is a gradual and mostly steady descent, with the first part passing near the base of Black Mountain and Ferm Mountain. After winding around, you'll cross the East Fork Moses Creek and start heading south.

Next, you'll pass a Forest Service gate at the junction with the Melton Cabin Trail, and from here, you can follow Moses Creek Road down and slightly right) for 5 miles back to your parked vehicle.

Flora & Fauna

Wildflowers and vistas.
