Winter can be dicey, so bring a 4WD to access the trail roads in times of snow. Plowing is non-existent in this park.

Description

On the north end, the trailhead is well marked; however, blazes are inconsistent through the middle section, but generally not hard to follow. This trail has a little bit of hill climbing, but mostly it is nice and flat and takes you through some really beautiful mixed hardwood stands. There are several opportunities along this trail to see the lake. Waterfowl are abundant as are some great examples of woodland birds.
