During the winter, this trail is awesome due to clear sight lines and a nicely maintained tread.
The trail is mostly flat but does have a couple of hills to challenge users. This is part of the Heritage Trail Network, so you can make this a standalone loop if you are pressed for time, or connect to the Nickel or Bohanon Loop to create a nice longer hike. This trail is the "red trail" and is marked with red diamond blazes.
