Description

This is a challenging trail with a steep upward climb. The trail generally follows the ridge of Hole in the Ground Mountain. From this vantage, Petit Jean River Valley and Jack Creek Drainage can be seen. The terrain is rugged but well marked with white rectangular blazes. Numerous geologic formations are present along the way.
