Description

This trail branches off the La Milagrosa Trail and climbs the southern wall of Agua Caliente Canyon to the ridge between Agua Caliente and an unnamed canyon to the south. It then goes past Gnat Tank and reaches a trail junction (marked with a rock pile) where you'll turn left before starting downhill again. The trail then crosses upper Agua Caliente Canyon and rejoins the La Milagrosa Trail on the north side of Agua Caliente Canyon.

The trail crossing of upper Agua Caliente Canyon provides off-trail access to a picturesque rocky pool and a small seasonal waterfall tucked into the canyon narrows about 100 yards downstream of the trail.

Directions: Follow Snyder road east, turn north on N Avenida De Suzenu, driving 0.3 mi to the parking area at the corner of E Horsehead Rd. Park and walk east, around the gate on Horsehead Rd; continue approximately 0.6 mile on a neighborhood road to reach the trailhead.
*Don't attempt to use Google maps to the trailhead, as it is not accessible by car because of the gate.
