Description

This challenging trail traverses Mt Claude, Van Dyke, and Roland. It makes for a great day out any time of year. However, this challenging point-to-point trail is not for the fainthearted. This hike has over 1000m of elevation gain, and descends over 2000m. The weather can be extremely variable, even in summer, and the trail is very steep in places. Water is also limited across the range top and is scarce for the first 10-12 kms. There are two tracks available in the saddles between peaks that offer a bail out point if needed.
