Paved trail from Highway 6 at Buffalo Bayou to Fry Road at Highland Knolls Drive.

Bryan Dotson

Features River/Creek · Wildlife

Family Friendly While its full length may prove too much, children will definitely enjoy using a portion of this trail.

Description

This is a Harris County Parks hike and bike trail that runs outside the north side of Barker Dam, south to cross Buffalo Bayou, then west to Fry Road. A portion of the trail is on Barker-Clodine Road, which is a quiet two-lane road.

There is parking at Highway 6 and the north end of South Barker-Cypress. Smash and grab vehicle burglaries are common in the area, so don't leave valuables in your vehicle.
