Description

A local hiking trail that is being renovated to make it more mountain bike friendly. Park on Ladera lane and the trail begins right at the bend in the road. The trailhead is shared with the "K Hill" trail which is currently off-limits to bikes. Hike up the joint trail until you see a sign on the left for Tom's Canyon.

Tom's Canyon Trail is currently under construction and is an out-and-back. This is an intermediate singletrack trail with minimal technical features. The technicality of the trail comes from its quick ups and downs. There are a few steep, but short climbs.

Be sure to check out the viewpoint labeled "Bench" where there is a stone bench for taking a break and taking in the view of the canyon in either direction. This trail looks down on La Estancia, a housing development.
