Description

This is the main segment of the Herman Brown Nature Trail. It goes from the small pond to the Hunting Bayou Hike and Bike Trail near the expressway. The trail is made of crushed-granite fill, which makes it very easy going. The forests are very thick so there are not exactly views, and you're not quite far enough from I-90 at any point for silence, but it is overall a fairly nice trail. You'll pass a few connector trails that head back to the parking area and another two trails that connect to the Hunting Bayou Hike and Bike Trail.
