“The best way to tie the two ditch-wall trails into a loop!
”
Common sense note (if you really need it): The headgate valves are usually chained and locked in the position that best suits the farmer's needs. Sometimes the lock and chain are not there. Please do not mess with the headgates. Even if the water is low, they are set how they need to stay and will be adjusted as needed by proper farm hands.
Description
This trail is not part of the Wilson Creek Trail system but is on neighboring BLM land and makes for a great connection. A quick drop from the junction of W601 and H600 down into the bottom of the draw. Then hop across the creek at the headgates of the newer ditch. The trail then becomes doubletrack as it doubles as access from the private farm below to operate the headgates. The doubletrack continues down to the private farm while this trail turns at the first wash and heads up to BLM Road 37164.
