Hickory Hill Park is open from dawn until dusk year round.

Description

This trail runs north-south along the eastern edge of the park, winding up a hill that connects the First Avenue Loop to the Northeast Prairie. It's winding, rocky, and rooty, hemmed in by trees and brush on both sides, and when wet, can be quite treacherous, so it makes for a fun couple tenths of a mile.

Flora & Fauna

Classic Iowa flora/fauna. Lots of song birds, deer, and small mammals.
