The Post Canyon Recreation Area is a multi-use trail network formed of Hood River County property and a patchwork of State Park, USDA Forest Service, and private land. The area is also an ongoing tree farm operation, so be aware of potential closures. Expect traffic in both directions and yield appropriately.

Description

This is primarily a climbing route for ATVs.

Starting with a short climb off of the Riordan Hill Road, 2 Chair Trail #160 follows the ridge line for about a mile before splitting down to Dirt Surfer Trail #172. Along the way, there is very straight doubletrack, some steep ruts with roots, and beds of small rocks.

The result can be amusing, if you find the challenge of a constantly shifting terrain enjoyable. Otherwise, this trail is probably not what you're looking for.
