Description

The Sanctuary Marsh Loop Trail has a variety of options in potential routes and all of them are worthwhile. The Sanctuary Marsh Loop is identified by a bronze colored blaze with a silhouette of cattails. Starting from the Nature Center Trailhead, you can take either of the trails heading to the west to reach the loops. Highlights of the loops include a boardwalk out over the marsh, marsh wildlife, waterside trails, sculptures, and an owl enclosure (please slow down to a walk when passing the owls to not scare them—you'll want to anyways since they are so cool!) on the far western portion of the loop. It is possible to connect to the Buttermilk Falls Loop Trail in the northwest corner of the trail.

This is one of the most popular areas of the popular North Chagrin Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. Be sure to leave the area better than you found it, and spread happiness out there!
