Description

This is a rough trail providing an alternative to Whipple Trail (Main Route 6031) to the north end of Broken Boyfriend (6032A). There are enough steeps and rough sections of trails to give hikers a good workout.

Look for an unmarked turn to the north, 1/4 mile or so into the Whipple Main Route (6031) climb past the switchback with South Loop (6032). North Loop contours at times with steeper climbs and roughs up to Midland Railroad grade (gravel dirt road at this point).

Broken Boyfriend (6032A) begins just a few hundred feet to the north.
