At this time, no access is allowed into the actual reservoir (stay on the path).

Description

A gravel track and some pavement form an easy loop around this new reservoir (the reservoir is not visible in some older satellite images). There are the remains of a historic old cabin (Strauss Cabin) that can be viewed just off the trail on the east side. You can connect to other trails from the parking area at Arapahoe Bends Natural Area for a casual, easy hike with good wildlife viewing opportunities.
