Closed until May 15 for Sage Grouse habitat.

Overview

Between May 15th and the first deep snowfall, this is a good short hike up a mini canyon surrounded by granite blocks.

Need to Know

I believe the trail is closed March 15- May 15 for sage grouse

Description

Starting at the trailhead on Gold Basin Road, hike westerly up the gulch following the trail. Once you have topped out on the open plateau of Hartman rocks, you can extend your hike by making a quick loop via Sawtooth Trail.
