Description

Just south of Van Buren along Highway 60, the trail continues generally south for the first 13 miles snaking through a number of small tributaries that empty into the Current River. These include the Wildhorse Hollow, Chilton Creek, Devil's Run, and Big Barren Creek.

From Big Barren Creek, the trail continues west near the north fork of Cedar Bluff Creek. The trail ascends slowly out of Cedar Bluff Creek drainage and traverses a considerable ridge that separates the Current River watershed and the Eleven Point River watershed.

The final eight and one-half mile of trail continue generally southwest following Gold Mine Hollow, the main ridge above Kelly Hollow, and Fox Hollow before concluding on Forest Service Road 3152 above Hurricane Creek.

A connector trail joins the OT to Big Spring State Park.
