Description

Drive into the park on Bee Oak Rd and pay the at the visitor center. The fee is three dollars per car and you can obtain a map if needed ($3). For Blue Trail, continue on and then turn right on Forest Road. About 0.25 miles on the right is a parking lot. From here, you can enter Blue Trail and Orange Tail (Orange Trail begins about 0.2 miles in; just follow Blue Trail down the hill and pick it up there) just west of the lot.

The trail begins with a descent into the woods and then some easy singletrack and few climbs. Off into the woods it's very pleasant with some small hills and a nice river crossing. Go past the archery range and soon you'll come along a river which is quite scenic. Cross Forest Road again and head back into the woods. A while later you'll meet up with the Orange Tail, but stay on Blue Trail which goes off to the left. Finish up with an easy slope up past the water tower, cross Forest Road to the west side and turn left to head back to the lot.

This is mostly nice singletrack and rolling trail with a few decent small climbs and descents. There are a lot of roots making it a bit of a challenge sometimes, but other sections are smoother.
