Description

Barrett Spur lies on the north side of Mount Hood between Ladd and Coe glaciers.
About 1000 m (3,280 ft.) elevation gain through the Vista Ridge Trail then an (unnamed?) way to the spur.
Lots of flowers, ripe huckleberry to taste (mid-August), beautiful Silver Forest.
Great views of Mt. St. Helens (97 Km or 60 mi. away), Mt. Rainier (161 Km or 100 mi. away) and Mt. Adams (91 Km or 57 mi. away), and stunning close-up on glaciers on Mt. Hood's north side.
