Description

Jump right into the woods when headed to Sassafras XX from the parking lot on Coopers Gap Road instead of grinding up Flat Road. Take the Shittaka Trail entrance next to the parking lot, headed southwest. After less than a mile of moderate climbing, you'll come to an intersection. Turn left onto Indian Trail. About 0.4 miles later you'll come out on Flat Road.
