This is considered the northwest section of "The Loop", which is a continuous multi-use path around the greater Tucson area. The main loop is paved, but plenty of sections are paralleled by improved dirt paths. It is a constant project maintained and improved by the local governments. Many sections of the loop have paths on both sides of the riverbeds or washes.
