Description

This is an excellent hike along the bluffs of Point St. George. It's great for watching whales as well as a number of birds that use this wildlife habitat as a stopover on their migration route. From the large parking lot, follow the small trail that leads to the bluffs. The trail mostly sticks to a faint path skirting along the bluffs and meanders through the grassy meadows.

Don't worry if you lose the trail for a while, just follow the bluffs south. Every now and then, the trail crosses an older roadbed. Throughout the entire trail, you'll get stunning views of the shoreline. Take time to explore and stroll down to the water. At the end of the trail, you'll have an amazing view of Crescent City.
