This trail is intended as a cross country ski trail in the winter, and sees very little use in the summer months.
The trail is a grassy fire access road along the tree line with some wonderful views of Elkwater Lake. It's a great way to get to the trail system east of Highway 41 if you happen to be on top of the plateau already.
