Description

Billy Goat Trail is a narrow singletrack with steep ups and downs and a variety of terrain ranging from flat hardpack to rocks and roots and slippy sand and gravel. This trail spurs off from Mustard Road, beginning and ending where Mustard Road takes you anyway, but it is much more interesting. This one definitely counts as "extra credit" on the climb to Four Corners. Some sections include tight turns coupled with very narrow trail and a steep decline, but not much hazardous terrain here: a trip or fall means a roll in the bushes, not a dive off a cliff.

Flora & Fauna

Coyotes and rabbits and snakes, oh my! Also, mountain lions that occasionally materialize and eat mountain bikers. No joke. It happened here. Over a decade ago though. What are the chances it'll happen again...?
