Description

The lower end of the Baker Creek Trail leaves the two-track at a 4x4 trail marker and cairn. It is easy to speed past this junction, keep your eyes to the right looking for the trail and cairn.

The trail climbs steadily then drops slightly and enters a basin with a grove of Aspen trees. Several cow trails here can cause confusion: follow the main trail and head for the left side of the Aspen grove.

The trail comes to a creek, which you'll cross then go left and continue up briefly on old two-track. You'll then get back on singletrack now on the left side of the Aspen grove.

Baker Creek Trail curves west, then north, and merges with another cow trail. Soon after the trail crests a saddle and meets two-track.
