Description

While this trail mostly contours, it does have a fair share of ups and downs. The end near the Powerline Trail is pretty rough and very narrow - wear long sleeves to protect yourself from tree branches. The short climbs are generally going into and coming out of ravines as you work your way around, but there are a couple of longer rockier climbs.

The further north and east you go the more the trail opens up and in general gets less rocky, though there are still some ledges here and there. Finally, the section between the Chamisoso Trail turn off and the end at Rd 13, is mostly smooth and fast, but there is one very ledgy area with some trees close by and a bit of loose climbing.

In general, the southwestern end of the trail gets 2 stars while the northeastern end gets 4 for an average of 3.
