Description

The trail climbs through dense tree cover on the west side of Renwyck Creek. After it crosses the creek, it starts a series of switchbacks as it ascends through several wet areas to the ridge between the North Fork of the Payette River and Squaw Creek. Once up out of the bottom, views of the drainage and hills to the west are impressive. The trail gets quite steep for the last mile. The trail ends at its junction with the West Mountain Trail #131.

At times, a lot of cows can be grazing in the area so beware of faint trails when in the open meadows. This trail is currently only cleared every three years by the FS, but the Idaho Youth Conservation Corps and the Back Country Horsemen are working to keep it cut out more often.
