Description

Though this is a dirt road, it offers a nice addition to other hike on the Las Catalinas Trail System. It is a great place for sighting monkeys, especially in the morning. Also, it has near zero traffic. It's relaxing, beautiful Guancaste scenery features open fields and large trees.

The far western part of the route goes down to the Zapotal beach, which is big, wild, and has a very Jurassic Park feel to it. This road provides a great chance to relax and take in the nature.
