This is an easy trail with an interesting rock feature/viewpoint at its terminus.
Park closes at night: no camping.
Description
This trail is short and easy. Very little grade is present on the inclines and the trail is mostly soft sandstone wash. For a mild hike, it offers an excellent terminus: Eagle's Nest is a stack of large boulders scattered along a pinnacle. It's a great place for viewing far over the trees or just scrambling around the boulder piles.
Flora & Fauna
Blueberry shrubs are scattered around the trail side and many tall oak and pine rise above the trail.
Eagle's Nest seems to also be a bluejay nest, because they were causing quite a fuss.
