Description

A more interesting, but similar to Needles, way down from Needles Lodge. Excellent scenery through dozens of switchbacks on a mostly hard packed surface with occasional rocky section, loose rocks, and roots.

Follow the signs at several confluences and watch for traffic in both directions. This trail may be a better option for descending than Needles. There are a number of stream crossings in early spring.
