Description

For the descent, this trail starts at the old Sawyer Ridge Lookout that does not exist anymore. YThe trail is steep coming off the summit (although the grade levels off in places, there are steep sections until about 4.5 miles). Follow the ridgeline for a ways until you hit Marble Point and then from there you'll drop down steeply into a creek drainage.

Once in the drainage, follow the creek all the way out. The entire trail is in thick tree cover and will cut through some old logging areas. This trail is usually maintained on a yearly basis and bridges were install down on the creek in 2007 so you should be able to keep your feet dry.
