Description
This is an easy way to add a couple miles to your hike after hiking Ridgeline or to use as an alternate point on your hike in.
From Coachline Road, it's a short climb up to the ridge with a great view of the Front Range. From there, the singletrack winds along the ridge with the Red Hawk Golf Course to the immediate east. You'll eventually hit a section with some berms and few rock crossings over a drainage swale. This leads you to an intersection near a neighborhood, go left to continue on the trail, or go right for a shortcut to Mashie Circle.
Going left from the intersection, the trail follows behind some houses and climbs a little bit before descending to Mashie Circle near Black Canyon Way.
There are two gate crossings as you'll be passing through a section that allows cattle grazing (or at least used to). Don't worry, you're clear to pass the gates and they should spring closed behind you. The first gate is just off of Coachline Road, the second is when the trail reaches the golf course.
