Description

Timbuktu starts off of the fire road just down the hill from the top of Beaver. The first part is a wide open doubletrack and then it narrows down to meandering singletrack with roots and rocks scattered about the tread.

Park car in lot just off taconic, hike in along road - no real parking after this. No views, a couple streams and ponds, forest mostly younger trees... Can be very icy in winter. Trails have more mountain bike tracks than footprints... Feb 13, 2018
