Trail conditions are best from October through April since there is no shade and the trails can be sandy.
Description
This is a classic desert hike that takes you across canyons and plateaus. Wild Horse sightings are common on the plateaus. The trail goes from fast and smooth to super rocky and back again. There is one very steep and challenging climb out of a creek bottom. At the end of the trail it becomes steep and loose and there are some off camber sections.
Since this is horse country there are a number of faint side trails. Follow the hiking tracks and signs and you'll be fine.
The parking area near the bottom has restrooms and maps and is a great place to start this hike. Combine this hike with Bingo and Reynolds Canyon for a nice long loop.
