“This trail heads out traversing downhill with a handful of short climbs.
”
The top end of the route from Divide Trail #106 starts with a very gradual downhill traverse. It dives steeply into a sharp gully only to climb back out, cross a ridge, and drop to a second gully. The trail then climbs and contours for a mile and comes to Ax Park Cut-Off.
From there, drop into another steep gully followed by a tough 1/2-mile climb.
Finally, the real descending begins with a nice 2000' drop in the last 2.5 miles.
